Phoenix Gets Light Rail
Phonenix opened its first light-rail line over the weekend. The 20-mile line begins in the suburb of Mesa, goes through downtown Phoenix, the airport and the Diamondbacks' Chase Field. It ends in North Phoenix. The project is the culmination of more than a decade of planning and a $1.4 billion budget.

Suspects slam car into home
Phoenix officers received a call shortly before 3 a.m. of a possible burglary. The callers stated that someone was inside their home, at 75th Avenue and Camelback Road. Officers found that the homeowners on College Drive chased the two men out of their home.. The suspects were identified as Rocky Torres Jr., 21, and Seve Watson, 20.
